line number has it's uses though...

Well i'd agree with you except that many people have experienced these
assertion errors when doing nothing unusual to their news.dat... i
myself have... other people have...

However they SEEM more frequent when messing around with yarn pack.
But in the absense of any hard evidence as of yet it may well just be
a coincidence. <-: Heheh. Then again...
