When, oh when, oh when will I learn?? I just had this problem with YIN not
so long ago... i hadn't tested it on an empty folder (zero bytes)... and it
would bomb under those conditions... here we go again. I didn't try this
program on an "empty" news.dat. Heh. Boom. Ok, that's fixed now. On the
bright side... empty news.dat... you can't have lost or corrupted anything.

That red screen is interesting eh. It's driving me crazy. I don't know
where it's coming from! Apparently this new library/unit i've been using
has replaced the error handlers... and like you say.. is trying to do
something -- but i don't know what. I get that blank red screen whenever
there is a read/write error. If you just press enter it then ignores the
error and continues... (which may or may not be a good thing... depending
on the case). I've got to track that thing down... one of these days...

Or just write better programs so it never comes up. <-:

Anyhow, hopefully the thing works better when you have an ACTUAL news.dat
to try it on. Heheh. I have replaced the...

http://www.io.org/~tm/files/yarnpack.exe

with a new one that doesn't bomb on an empty news.dat .... (it was actually
bombing before it got to the news.dat... bombing just trying to read the
blank history.pag...) not a big deal.

Thanks for letting me know.
