DOS+UKA_PPP+YARN = many questions

I'm using uka_ppp for the connection at my ppp internet provider and yarn
as news-mail reader from some day;
All works without great problems,but i have not understand something:
1) How can i disable HELO autentication,my provider don't support it and i
receive a warning in mail header,i have not touched the comment out (#) line
in config file.
2) Is possible to create a killfile for undesiderate subject of posting.
3) I set the TZ variable at my timezone (-2),but if you look at my mail
header is printed -0400, why?
4)When i'm receiving newsfeed,every time i obtain many "Bad Tcp Checksum"
errors,is something configured wrong?
5)In Default.rc there are many variables for news configuration,exist
somewhere a reference.doc for that,or someone know how use every one of them?
Before you tell me RTFM i must state in advance:
I have read every file (in text format :-) ) in the uka_ppp.zip file.
This is my first day in this list (please don't tell me that mine are old
questions).
I have searched for a long time a method for connect the net without use
windows,because i use win only for that,and now (may be) i can remove it!
I apologize for your time loose reading my boring questions,but if you can
help me,do it please,is very important for me.
