"Assertion failed" error with Yarn's expire program (fwd)

This was posted on the newsgroup specified in the header, and sounds to
me like a nasty problem. Perhaps someone who knows the answer might want
to e-mail this guy...?

I just started getting the following error when I run Yarn's expire
program. What might be the problem and how should I fix it? FWIW,
news.dat is actually only 8 megs in size.

Article at offset 6715990 has size 1308622850. Skipped 650 bytes.
Assertion failed: blk.prev + free.size + sizeof(BlockHeader) == delOffset, file
..\SPOOLFIL.CPP, line 235
