Could you have one or more articles in a newsgroup in yarn that you are
not subscribed to (e.g. junk)? Press <Insert> at the newsgroup selection
level for a list of unsubscribed newsgroups.

If you did delete your news.dat, I would recommend a rebuild -o after your
next import, just in case.
